Chandana Kannada Sangha (CKS) is an official non-profit organization for Kannadigas living in Kansas City and surrounding areas. Kannada is the official language of the State of Karnataka - one of the five states of Southern India.

Chandana Kannada Sangha (CKS) of Kansas City and Greater Kansas is a 24-year-old, non-profit organization that serves to support social & charitable causes as well as promote various cultural activities that is centric to the state of Karnataka. Our organization boasts an active member community of 100+ families, gathering at various times each year to not only celebrate customs and festivals that are local to the state of Karnataka but also to host, partner, raise funds and volunteer for several causes that benefit the greater community of Kansas City throughout the year, including but not limited to

Blood drives with American Red Cross and Community Blood Bank

Fundraisers in collaboration with a variety of organizations

A forum where children of Kannadigas imbibe the culture of Karnataka and present/exhibit their talents in numerous cultural events that are hosted quarterly each year.

Coat/clothes drives led by our Youth team each Sep-Oct.

Youth led monthly newsletter "Nammura Suddi" connects the diaspora through local and Karnataka regional news, crosswords, quizzes while showcasing local business who collaborate with our organization.

CULTURAL EVENTS
Chandana Kannada Sangha organizes various cultural events throughout the year for festivals such as Shankranthi, Ugadi, Deepavali etc.
KANNADA LANGUAGE COACHING
Chandana Kannada Sangha team members also volunteer to teach our Native language, Kannada, to anyone interested in learning the language and our culture.
ORGANIZE PICNICS AND OTHER EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
Chandana Kannada Sangha also organizes Picnics, Halloween parties etc., and Youth Committee members organize a Senior Sendoff party every year for all the members graduating High School that year.
